The Twenty-Four Solar Terms

Rooted in the spiritual heritage of traditional Chinese agriculture, the solar terms are personified as spirits of nature evoking a magnificent picture of coexistence between heaven and earth and the cycle of the four seasons. Blending ancient and modern, Eastern myths – such as Nüwa Mending the Sky and the Four Divine Beasts – with Western musical tradition, this is both a poetic expression of the ideal harmony between humans and nature and a profound inquiry into its possibility.
