One Kiss

One Voice Theatre Company

An old book, What It Means to Be a Woman, given to Georgia on her sixteenth birthday, becomes the thread connecting three women’s lives: Georgia, now a woman in an unhappy marriage to a brutish man; Shirley, her long-lost best friend, now a nightclub singer in New York; and Maud, Georgia’s mother, the orchestrator of their downfall. From childhood to motherhood, the book’s secrets are passed from hand to hand, revealing the choices we make and the chances we miss. One Voice Theatre Company proudly presents this one-woman musical, with eight original songs.
