Piano Music by JS Bach and S Rachmaninoff

The Overture in the French style, BWV 831, is a suite in B minor for a two-manual harpsichord. The first movement has a significant emphasis on dotted rhythm, which is a common characteristic of the French Baroque music. The rest of the movements are a mixture of different dances such as minuet, courante, and sarabande. Variations on a Theme of Corelli, Op. 42, is the last composition for solo piano written by S Rachmaninoff. This piece highlights the essence of his music.
